Hardwood Floors Take Major Brunt
This home suffered a water damage that happened from a water valve bursting overnight. The water ran into the home for over an hour. There was standing water throughout the living room. The hardwood flooring in the living room took most of the damage. Hardwood floors will soak up as much water as they can until they start to come apart and buckle. When this happens, we have to tear out the damaged flooring in order to get all of the moisture out and dry the subfloor properly. This will ensure that no secondary damage, also known as microbial damage, occurs.
