A Vent Hood Can Cause Fire Damage

This home suffered a small kitchen fire due to a vent hood over the oven catching on fire. The fire and smoke went up the walls into the cabinets directly over the oven. We pulled the cabinet out and the drywall behind it because it was so severely burned and trapped in the smoke odor. The quicker our crews are able to get into a home or business that has been affected by a fire, the easier it is to get the smell out and be able to start rebuilding the damages.
